Seattle engineered a stunning comeback to defeat the Los Angeles Rams in extra time, clinching their spot in the NFL play-offs.

Rallying from a 30-14 hole in the final period, the Seahawks triumphed 38-37 at home, registering their fifth straight victory.

While the Los Angeles had already secured a post-season berth earlier on game day, the Seattle team secured their place to the play-offs after a two-year hiatus.

With this result, the Seattle now lead their division's standings with a twelve and three mark, supplanting the Los Angeles, who fell to the number five seed with an 11-4 record.

Quarterback Darnold threw two interceptions but regrouped to deliver two touchdown passes, culminating in the second score to star receiver Smith-Njigba in overtime.

The Rams held a six-point advantage at half-time before Walker broke free for a long touchdown run for Seattle.

Rams defensive back Josh Wallace then returned Darnold's first pick for 56 yards, setting up a short touchdown by Blake Corum on the ensuing snap.

In the final stanza, a scoring pass from Stafford to Puka Nacua pushed the Rams' lead to 30-14, but Shaheed provided the hope with a 58-yard return for a score.

Darnold then connected with Barner in the endzone, and a converted conversion sent the game into an extra period.

Although Nacua raced in for his another TD in OT, Jaxon Smith-Njigba answered in kind to setup the decisive conversion.
